The first session of the 2023 Central Iowa Business Academy begins by joining the Leadership and Small Business Management tracks together for a deep dive on the Six Working Genius assessment. After registering, attendees will be sent a link to complete the assessment. Please print and bring the assessment report to this session.
The Working Genius model identifies the six fundamental activities that are required for any type of work and provides a simple framework for how work gets done. They include: Wonder, Invention, Discernment, Galvanizing, Enablement, and Tenacity
These six types of genius are required for any work endeavor. We’ve heard stories from thousands of workers from CEOs to teachers and airline pilots to elephant zoo-keepers. The Working Genius Assessment helps anyone identify their gifts and limitations so they can maximize satisfaction and contribution in their work and life. The model helps us understand how we contribute, and why teamwork is so important, since no one person can embody all six geniuses. Teams that use this tool find immediate impact on their productivity, morale, and burnout.
Imagine if every company, every organization, every team knew the areas of genius, competency, and frustration of their people and organized them for success. And imagine if every parent knew those areas of genius for their spouse and children. It’s not an exaggeration to say that there would be more joy and less misery in society. But that has to happen one person at a time. And that person might as well be you. What are your areas of genius? (www.workinggenius.com)
